ACCOUNTANT
- Key Responsibilities
- Support accounts/MIS head to liaise with customers, suppliers and other departments as required.
- Direct, coordinate and review the work plan for assigned staff, assign work activities, monitor work flow, review
evaluate daily work, method and procedures and meet with staff to identify/resolve problems. - Ensure day to day accounting is complete ensuring appropriate checks, internal/external reconciliations/confirmations and required documentation and approvals. Supervise and review work of team members
- Ensure timely collections/payments, its accounting and periodic reconciliation of account balances with statements/confirmations, preparing reports.
- Assist in cash flow forecasts/budgets/forecasts/variance reporting.
- Ensure full adherence to SOPs and policies while being insightful for continuous improvement to existing policies and procedures. Support Account Head in effective and efficient management of operations.
- Assist in regular departmental KPI reports, compliance reports, exception reports, performance reports of employees along with relevant employee score cards.
- Maintain sufficient records, logs, trackers, reconciliations and dashboards. Ensure inventory records are accurate by ensuring periodic physical counts and timely reconciliations with books.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported stock quantities and locations of all inventory. Ensure stock transactions are timely recorded.
- Qualifications
- Graduation/Post graduation degree in Commerce/Accountancy.
- Full/part professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA/CMA).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the relevant field directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified with
- at least 3 years in UAE market. FMCG industry vertical experience will be an additional requirement.
- Industry specific knowledge, commercial and business awareness with deep understanding of local laws and regulations
- including various taxes, labour laws, AML, ESR etc. Good experience in managing Accounting in ERP specifically Oracle/SAP.
- Advanced skills in MS Office including excel.
- Attention to detail & mathematical skills.
- Problem-solving abilities with strong research and analytical skills.
